Hi David,
I have just received my copy of 1812 in Russia and I am reading through the campaigns. Any idea where I can find the download for the Save the Holy City variant of the Smolensk battle, as at a later stage, it will be necessary for the campaign?
Your help would be most appreciated

With the redesign of the website earlier this year a lot of the resources that had been in the dedicated downloads section were taken offline. We plan on remedying this yet this year.

Thank you, David and I do appreciate that you don't have a large team (although it's a quality team), but I am just noting that this particular download is intrinsic to the book. I can wait until the end of the year, as I won't be anywhere near Smolensk by then.
Yours aye - Jim.

Is this scenario (“Save the Holy City”) available anywhere yet? I’m also waiting for it, pretty please? : )

We will be [finally] making good on this soon.

any news on when the Save the Holy City scenario will be up. We want to start the 1812 campaign and would like the full range of options.
Best wishes

This will become available when the revised version of 1812-1: Master of the World, 1812 in Russia gets announced to ship, which should happen in the foreseeable future.

David,
I already have 1812, so will there be major changes i.e. would I need to buy another copy?

We won't be breaking compatibility with the previous revisions of 1812-1 or with ESR. Speaking more broadly the new revision of Campaign Guides will be different and I think significantly improved, but the only thing that would require you to buy a "new copy" is if you really like it. They will include an updated look and feel, scenarios, depending on the book, may be altered either because of additional research or because of additional resources to expand them. They will retain the same core format of scenarios linked by a campaign framework and briefs for each Army.
I don't want to go into too many details before we're able to announce the shipping date, but I did want to quickly address your question directly. Can you buy a "new"one? Sure. Will you want to buy a "new" one? Maybe. Will a new one be necessary? No.

No... THANK YOU, David! Keep safe and stay well.
Jim.
