The new edition of Master of the World, 1812 in Russia is going to press. See what to expect!
Master of the World was our first ESR Campaign Guide back in 2016. Combing historical battle scenarios with an extensive uniform guide to offer Napoleonic players a one-stop-shop for replaying Napoléon’s ill-fated invasion of Russia. But, now it is time to bring 1812-1 up to the new standard of our Series 3 Campaign Guides.

Rewritten from the Ground Up.

All of the scenarios in 1812-1s3 have been completely rewritten from the ground up using new source material, maps, and additional research. This means that even if you own the previous edition of Master of the World there’s new content and new scenarios for your game table.
The scenarios have also been expanded. Instead of highlighting the pinnacle of a multi-day battle, we’re setting you up to play the entire fight, start to finish. Will the battle on your tabletop look like the battle in history? That’s up to you and your generals.
Most Comprehensive Painting Guide Ever.

If you play Napoleonics you don’t only need maps, orders of battle, and victory conditions to refight historical battles. You also need a painting guide.
Like all of our ESR Campaign Guides, 1812-1s3 includes a uniform painting guide, 122 pages. Yes, 122 page uniform painting guide is included. With an estimated 2,983 images.
If there is a unit you need to paint for a scenario, it is in there. Every. Single. One. We went 1:1 and represented every historical unit you’ll need on your tabletop.
Two Campaign Guides in One.

When we first published Master of the World we’d wanted to include the flank actions too but publication considerations and available source material prevented it.
But… that was then.
Now we’ve combined the content from both Master of the World and Didn’t Dare Do Anything! So not only does 1812-1s3 include new scenarios for the battles of Master of the World, it also includes new scenarios for those battles previously included in Didn’t Dare Do Anything.
Fifteen scenarios and all the uniform images you’ll need to refight the first steps of the invasion through Borodino.
But When Will It Ship?!?!
1812-1s3: Master of the World, 1812 in Russia, Series 3 has been submitted to the printer for production and is expected to ship to customers in the third quarter of this year.
