We’ve had some customers inquire about the easiest way to remove ESR Miniatures from their sprue. By carefully using a flush cutter, you can clip the miniature off of the sprue and then clip off the excess portion of the sprue to access the next miniature. Be very careful not to cut yourself with the flush cutter and be aware that both the miniature and the excess sprue can shoot off very fast when clipped – just like with any other plastic model provided on a sprue – and this can be a danger especially to your eyes. Wearing eye protection or otherwise shielding your eyes is encouraged because pirates are neat, but missing an eye sucks.
Note that while we’re showing this with unpainted figures, many of us paint our and seal coat our ESR Miniatures right on the sprue and clip them off afterward, the process of removing them is the same.
