Greetings,
If my force is on an attack directive, engages in combat which results in no units remaining in contact. Is there a way to have that force withdraw while maintaining it's facing toward the enemy? I understand if their moral breaks they route or retire (?) if I remember correctly, based on their fatigue level. I also understand that I can change their objective so they can turn around and march toward their new objective. I am wondering how they can move 1000 yard back while facing the enemy. It seems to be important due to the location of the reformation and reserve areas, which would be closer to the enemy if the force simply moved away from the enemy.
Of course there is always the possibility I am completely missing something.
Thanks
I meant formation -
If you activate a support [S] directive for the Formation in question, it is then required to shadow another friendly Formation, the general notion is that on a support [S] directive, a Formation may be beside or behind whomever it is supporting, but not ahead of, thus, it could withdraw away from the enemy and behind the friendly Formation, effectively cycling it out of engagement.
