Section 3.5 seems pretty specific that all the Formations of a Force have the same Objective.

In the calm of retrospect (rather than the heat of battle), we may have misunderstood Example 3.9. It gives each of two Prussian divisions different Objectives. However, the order is issued by the Army commander to the two divisions. Here, I take it, now, that the Prussian divisions are in fact Forces and the Prussian brigades areFormations. Originally we read “division” as “Formation.”

So now I think all the Formations of a Force have the same objective. Is this correct?

Correct, all Formations of a Force have the same objective.

You are also correct that that in example the Prussian divisions are Forces while the Prussian brigades are Formations.
