[Solved] Retired infantry/Cavalry acting as support

Last question from our game yesterday, do units forced to retire as a result of combat, still count as rear support for the 2nd combat resulting from a breakthrough? Given our deployment, the front line battle wave units retired and functionally were in position to act as support for the 2nd battle wave, as there was not a 3rd wave.

Yes. So long as the Unit which retired meets the criteria for providing support, (i.e. overlapping frontage within 225 yards) then yes.
