Two cavalry formations clash. One acquires a BK Status and is removed. The other acquires an RT Status but there is no longer any enemy within 900 yards to stay away from. Can they just re-organise where they like while trying to remove the Status?

Actually both happen simultaneously, so while you are picking the one that broke up you're retreating the other back.
