Hi David,
A few questions about ratings
- Gorodechno scenario, Hessen-Homburg, Brigade Batterien has infantry stats not artillery. Per the V2 book "Didn't Dare Do Anything" they are listed as 8x6# guns so I assume they should be 2|3|2.
- Same scenario, the V2 stats for all the 'reinforcement' artillery seem odd as they are all CR4, lights. These weren't listed in the V2 book so I don't know what they really should be although they all have proper looking V3 ratings so I probably shouldn't worry much.
- All of the V2 French cuirassier ratings in the V3 Master of the World do not match the old book. They are all CR5-S2 in the new book but were CR7-S1 in the old book. Similarly, Hussars were CR6-L and now are CR4-L/S1 and Chasseurs CR5-L to CR4-L. This only matters as I was going to try to leverage the 1809 V2 Austrian ratings into V3 statistics but now I'm not sure if I can legitimately do that.
- Similar to the above the Russian Guard V2 stats have changed from CR8-S1 to CR7. Again, it's only a concern relative to devising ratings for armies that do not have supplements released yet.
- Cossacks at Borodino were CR1-S2 and are now -|-|1, cohesion 1/2. They weren't terribly useful in V2 but seem to be next door to useless in V3.
Thanks much for any insight or comments. 🙂

Correct.
Same scenario, the V2 stats for all the 'reinforcement' artillery seem odd as they are all CR4, lights. These weren't listed in the V2 book so I don't know what they really should be although they all have proper looking V3 ratings so I probably shouldn't worry much.
For ESR Second Ed. the CR value for the Brigade-Batterien should be CR 3 as shown elsewhere and CR 4 for the Position-Batterien.
All of the V2 French cuirassier ratings in the V3 Master of the World do not match the old book. They are all CR5-S2 in the new book but were CR7-S1 in the old book. Similarly, Hussars were CR6-L and now are CR4-L/S1 and Chasseurs CR5-L to CR4-L. We revised those ratings from the last (2nd Ed.) printing of 1812-1 and 1812-1s3.
Similar to the above the Russian Guard V2 stats have changed from CR8-S1 to CR7. Again, it's only a concern relative to devising ratings for armies that do not have supplements released yet.
This is the correction of a typo, the ceiling of CR Values in ESR 2nd Ed. was 7 not 8.
Cossacks at Borodino were CR1-S2 and are now -|-|1, cohesion 1/2. They weren't terribly useful in V2 but seem to be next door to useless in V3.
Uhm… I disagree? I think they are very useful in both. What can I answer?
